Breitling first started manufacturing the Premier line of chronographs as early as the 1940s. With triple chronograph registers and blued hands, they're an exercise in understated elegance. In fact, one could almost consider them dress watches.
In 2018, the Georges Kern-helmed brand relaunched the Premier collection in an attempt to — as Mr. Kern put it — “fish in a bigger pond.” And indeed, these dressier pieces are available in various sizes, with various dials, and with various complications. The vintage-inspired version we have here is — naturally — one of our favorites.
Housed in a 42mm stainless steel case with stepped flanks, a sapphire crystal, a signed crown, dual ‘cushion’ pushers, and a polished bezel, this Premier features crisp, luminous silver dial with applied Arabic indices in a vintage typeface, dual recessed chronograph totalizers, an outer tachymeter scale, a 6 o'clock date window, and a luminous 'syringe' handset with vintage-colored lume.
Powered by Breitling's Calibre B01 automatic movement, this beautiful piece comes paired to a stainless steel multi-link bracelet.
